Chestnut Grill and Sidewalk Cafe: A Culinary Gem in Philadelphia

We had an amazing dining experience at this restaurant! The food was incredibly delicious, with the risotto and shrimp being my favorites. Both appetizers, the calamari and bruschetta, were spot on—I couldn’t decide which one I liked more. The outdoor ambience was fantastic, especially with the lovely weather. I'm really glad we chose this place. It was a truly delightful meal!

I sat at the bar. The service was great, both bartenders were super nice along with everyone else that works there. Even the people also having dinner were nice and friendly. The food was AMAZINGLY DELICIOUS . Highly recommend the lamb chops, so tinder and full of flavor. The Sirloin Burger was medium well and it was so damn juicy! If you're in Chestnut Hill, go here for dinner, you won't be disappointed.

I have enjoyed the Chestnut Grill for years! I enjoy the laid back atmosphere..attentiveness of staff and the food is consistently delicious! The food was prepared well and flavorful! The portions are great and it is always fun to share because the menu has so many great items and you always want more and more! The Chestnut Hill Grill is a neighborhood gem!

We was here to celebrate my wife's birthday and she especially enjoyed it. Everything we ordered was delicious. We will be back, and thanks for a great 1st time experience! Our server Carmen was excellent!!!

Me and my mom went for lunch and it was a great experience. It’s two levels and outside seating. It was cold so we didn’t get to sit outside. The downstairs dining doesn’t have bathrooms or great cell service the staff informed us. We sat on the main level. The server was nice. Food came out hot and was oh so good. My mom never had catfish and had ordered the tacos and didn’t like the texture of the fish so they were great offering her other options. I can’t wait to go back for dinner and happy hour. Mussels and entres are available after 4.

I go here a couple of times during the Summer, its a nice place to sit outside and dine. It has a lot of shade and the staff is very nicd and attentive, The house salad with chicken is good and so is the turkey garden sandwich. Also not super pricey to eat here and alot of places to walk and see around the street #food #dining #eat #dinner

My friend and I had an amazing time and lunch here for the first time. The fresh ingredients and amazing flavors was delicious. Just be aware that parking is difficult and limited with meters plus the traffic for the farmer's market in the back makes the area super busy especially on the weekends. The atmosphere is lively and surrounded by beautiful artworks.

Started off shakey but ended up being a worthwhile experience. Restaurant is in a bank of of establishments so it's hard to see where one stops and the next starts. Hostess wasn't at her station and lack of signage made us walk past it at first. After we were seated the waiter (Cyprus? ) I think his name was was very attentive and was very knowledgeable about the menu, which I appreciated. Often I ask questions that I probably know the answer to just to gage how amicable the staff is or isn't. One small issue there were food stains on the table from previous guests, (nasty) they even stained the menu. But when I complained we were promptly moves to a bigger better cleaner table, so that was good. My wife had lamb burger on pita and fries. She enjoyed it said it was well prepared to her satisfaction. I tasted the fries which were a little dry but competently prepared and fresh just needed some condiments like ketchup etcetera. I ordered lamb with risotto which surprisingly Excellent!! Lamb was cooked perfectly seared well but very juicy and tender. It's can be tricky to prepare. It is easily over or under cooked, this was niether A+. The risotto was sumptuous and rich. Tender grains and beautiful but simple presentation. At 1st glance I thought I would still be hungry but I found it very filling. I almost forgot we ordered buffalo wings as an appetizer and they were also delicious. Perfectly done although I would have preferred the sauce be actually Spicy but it was mild enough for my wife to tolerate so that was good.. for her. We agreed that they were delicious and up to par.
